Anybody remember Autumn? It was just here a minute ago...
Anyway, Michigan Brew Tours has been tearing it up these last few months: new tours, old favorites, new tastings, private events - if you can book it, we've hosted it!
One old favorite - our Best of Detroit tour - has become a new favorite, renamed the Best of Detroit: Classics tour. Same venues, new name. Why the new name, you ask? So that we could introduce the Best of Detroit: Remix tour, featuring four venues new to our tour schedule: 8 Degrees Plato, Nain Rouge Brewery, Tenacity Craft Detroit, and Brewery Faisan. I cannot tell you how happy we are to welcome these establishments to our tour family.
What's next? How about a Best of Detroit: Roots tour, featuring four breweries that were instrumental in creating the current craft beer culture that is thriving in Detroit? We're still working out the deets on this one, but look for it this spring/summer!
Our Corktown Craft Cocktail Crawl continues to be a hit, as it sold out every month during the summer and fall. We've been tinkering with it to maximize the experience for you, the tour guest, and feel we've got a pretty great Sunday stroll through Corktown set up for this spring. Watch the website and social media for upcoming dates.
Apparently, people who like to travel with their NFL teams to Detroit also like to go on a brewery tour the day before the game. We hosted a few groups of Packers' and Vikings' fans on public and private tours this season and I can guarantee that they all had a better brew tour on Saturday than game day on Sunday. Can't remember ever saying that before. Go Lions!
Let's not forget about the bachelors and bachelorettes who've chosen Michigan Brew Tours to help send them off to marital oblivion! They're always ready for a good time and great beer!
2022 saw us introduce our new beer tasting series, beginning with our Beers of the World tasting at Dragonmead Brewery. For folks who want to learn more about beer and specifically beer from around the globe, this tasting is fun and informative and Dragonmead is the perfect place for this event. Response has been so positive that we've added two new tasting events for 2023: our Beers of Germany tasting at Lagerhaus No. 5, and our Beers of Belgium tasting at Brewery Faisan. Looking forward to hosting these new tastings starting in February and April, respectively.
And Michigan Brew Tours is not stopping there! We've got a new Historic Bars Tour coming in the spring and some Bike & Brew Tours coming this summer. We're pretty excited to unveil these new offerings, so stay tuned!
Hope to see you all out there on a tour or at a tasting soon!
Cheers!
